Police have charged a 19-year-old Sunshine Coast man following the alleged attempted armed robbery of a newsagent at Yandina at knifepoint yesterday.
Around 6am, two men entered the store on Stevens Street and allegedly threatened the female employee with a knife while demanding cash.
The men subsequently fled from the store empty handed.
Investigations are continuing into the incident with police still looking for a second male.
The 19-year-old is due to appear before the Maroochydore Magistrates Court tomorrow.
