Twilight Markets Light Up Bulcock Beach

6th Oct, 2011 by Charles Hodgson View News

Caloundra Chamber of Commerce LogoThe Caloundra Chamber of Commerce is proud to bring the Twilight Markets to Bulcock Beach, Caloundra again this Friday evening.
Last run in January 2010, the Chamber has worked very hard to convince Council that there is great community support and that the Twilight Markets provide a much needed family entertainment opportunity on Friday nights.
The Twilight Markets will entertain and delight Sunshine Coast locals and visitors alike with an array of appetizing foods, unique arts and crafts, and live entertainment.
Combining with the start of the Bulcock Busking Festival, the Twilight markets will be open for business from 4pm to 9pm this Friday evening, 7th October 2011.
The markets will then be held again on Friday 11th November and six consecutive Fridays 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th December, 6th and 13th January, to cater for Christmas shopping and holiday visitors.
Newly appointed Caloundra Chamber of Commerce President, Alan Porter, expressed his delight in bringing the markets again to the Caloundra region.
“Markets are one of the wonderful ways of life here in Caloundra, and we always have great success and positive feedback with our Markets on Bulcock Street held every Sunday. But these Twilight markets, held on Friday evenings, open an array of new opportunities for local businesses, hopefully encouraging a good increase in traffic and visitors to our region.” said Mr Porter.
The Twilight Markets will be held on The Esplanade, Bulcock Beach from 4-9pm this Friday 7th October 2011, with the road closed to traffic between Tay Avenue and Otranto Avenue during these times.
