Tewantin’s Got Talent

After numerous requests by locals, Tewantin-Noosa RSL is hosting “Tewantin’s Got Talent” on Wednesday 20th June at 7pm. All amateur performers are welcome to show their talents and compete for some great giveaways and prizes.
Entry into the competition is free and the prize for best act on the night is 2 night’s accommodation at Mooloolaba. All talents are encouraged to perform whether you can sing, dance or play the ukulele. You have to be in it to win it so register at reception to showcase your special talent!

Tewantin’s Got Talent is just the start of the great entertainment for the week. There are also three great local acts scheduled – the Vibe, Romeo’s Apprentice and Memphis Moovers!
The Vibe are performing in the South Bar on Thursday 21st June at 7pm. This local duo of Benjy and Soni Pocock are widely regarded as one of Australia’s most entertaining and talented original music outfits. Benjy is one of Australia’s most sought-after guitarist, musician, vocalist, songwriters and is a renowned session musician. He will impress you with his vocals and harmonies which complement his outstanding instrumental talents. Add to the mix, Soni’s vocal talents along with her solid bass playing and you will understand this band’s great sound. Soni has a voice that can clench the heart strings and rock the Casba in the same breathe.
In the Diggers Bar on Friday 22nd June at 8pm, local family band and dance outfit Romeo’s Apprentice takes to the stage. Consisting of father Paul Terry, sons Jarreau and Naz and cousins Natalie & Mareca, the band covers all musical genres and appeals to all cultures and age groups. Regardless of your taste of music, you are bound to be captured by the entertainment quality of this current vocal and dance outfit. This performance is free for members and only $10 for non-members.
Top the entertainment week off on Saturday 23rd June at 8pm with Memphis Moovers in the South Bar. The Moovers shake, rattle and roll audiences of all ages with their repertoire covering the 50’s through to the naughties and everything in-between. Memphis Moovers will play all the songs you know like Twist n’ Shout, Shake your Tail Feather, Mustang Sally, Bad Moon Rising and many more.
