The Caloundra Pacific Rotary Club held their weekly dinner meeting on October 11 at Meridan State College to help ensure members are aware of the latest development in education and continue engagement with the local community.
The Senior School Principal, Karen McCord said “Within our college, we focus on the FISH! Philosophy, creating a working environment where the interrelated concepts of; be there, choose your attitude, make their day, and play are used to create a school culture where meaningful relationships, mutual respect and motivated learners engage in a rigorous and relevant curriculum. These concepts embody the college core values of choice, courage, compassion, courtesy and collaboration. We were very pleased to show these values to members of Caloundra Pacific Rotary Club by inviting them to hold one of their meetings at Meridan and enjoy a tour of our school facilities.”
All members of the Club enjoyed a 3 course meal prepared and served by the MSC hospitality students as part of their subject assessment process. Rotary club President, Barbara Bailey was impressed by the standard of the food and the service provided by the students stating “We all enjoyed an enjoyable meal and congratulate the college and students on a job well done.”
