The 2013 Bowel Scan Program was launched in Caloundra today as 600 bowel scan kits were distributed to 15 pharmacies throughout the region, ready for sale.
This simple test may save your life; bowel cancer is a significant killer of people in Australia.  Help safeguard your future by spending only $8.00 at your local pharmacy while this kit is available during May. It’s cheap, and it is effective. In 2012 there were almost 500 kits tested and 37 were referred for further investigation.
Rotary thanks Sullivan Nicolaides pathology for providing free testing of the kits.
Information brochures are being distributed to a wide range of community groups and offices such as churches, medical centres, small businesses, retirement villages and caravan parks in Caloundra. If you cannot get a brochure just ask at your local pharmacy for a kit.
This is a great opportunity to get that annual confidence check done, so don’t delay, stocks of the kit are limited and are available for collection now. said Barbara Bailey the President of the Rotary Club of Caloundra Pacific.
