Primary students learn what it takes to be a hero

Pupils in their performance of “Everyday Heroes”

Primary students at Caloundra Christian College have been eagerly learning all about the qualities of a ‘hero’.  This was in preparation for their annual musical concert, “Everyday Heroes,” which they presented to families and friends on Wednesday, October 17.
The students showcased many of their favourite heroes as they entertained the College community with a colourful array of costumes and stage props.  They have been learning that there is more to being a hero than the depictions in a comic book and also identifying with some of the Biblical heroes who have left life-giving examples for them to follow.
Students at Caloundra Christian College are encouraged to look for the good qualities and achievements in others, who can inspire them throughout their lives. A hero being someone who displays the qualities of a person who makes a difference in the lives of other people, someone they can admire and follow the example of. We all need a hero and we can all become someone else’s hero if we make right choices.
