Be a Life Saver, Get a Jab!

Queenslanders are urged to slip, slop, slap, seek, slide AND jab this weekend.

This weekend (October 30 and October 31) Queensland Health are bringing pop-up vaccination clinics at seven Surf Life Saving Clubs located on the Sunshine Coast.

Also from tomorrow (Friday, October 29) until Sunday, October 31 Queensland Health are bringing pop-up vaccination clinics at our two major theme parks on the Sunshine Coast.

So there are multiple opportunities to get vaccinated this weekend within the Sunshine Coast district.

• Aussie World 1 Down Under Drive, Palmview Friday, Saturday and Sunday 10am-3pm
• Australia Zoo 1638 Steve Irwin Way, Beerwah Friday, Saturday and Sunday 10am-3pm
• Coolum Beach SLSC 1775 – 1779 David Low Way Coolum Beach Saturday and Sunday 9am-2pm
• Caloundra Metropolitan SLSC 1 Spender Land, Kings Beach Saturday and Sunday 9am-2pm
• Marcoola SLSC 64 – 76 Marcoola Esplanade, Marcoola Saturday and Sunday 9am-2pm
• Maroochydore SLSC 34 – 36 Alexandra Parade, Maroochydore Saturday and Sunday 9am-2pm
• Mooloolaba SLSC Mooloolaba Esplanade, Mooloolaba Saturday and Sunday 9am-2pm
• Mudjimba SLSC Mudjimba Esplanade, Mudjimba Saturday and Sunday 9am-2pm
• Sunshine Beach SLSC Duke Street, Sunshine Beach Saturday and Sunday 9am-2pm
• Caloundra Indoor Sports Stadium North Street, Golden Beach 9am to 4pm (7 days a week)

Anyone in the community aged 12 and over can get vaccinated at the above locations, so bring your family, friends and neighbours and get vaccinated.

Alternatively, you can walk into any Queensland Health Vaccination Location and get your jab – with or without a booking. To find the closest site near you visit the Queensland Health website.

You can also get your COVID-19 vaccination at an approved GP or pharmacy via the Vaccine Clinic Finder.

Remember, it takes at least five weeks from the first dose to be completely protected so now is the time to get your vaccine so you can enjoy the holiday season with family and friends in other states and territories.
