A combination of sun, sand and sport – what better way to celebrate the start of Summer than taking part in a volleyball tournament on Noosa’s Main Beach?
For the second year in a row, Noosa will kick start the SLAM Festival, an amateur beach volleyball competition located at some of the best beaches in Australia. Now in its 13th year, the festival has become the largest volleyball event in the southern hemisphere and a big hit on the summer calendar.
The Festival starts on Saturday 1st December at Noosa and registrations are now open to take part in this exciting event. The volleyball competition begins with 3 games per team within the round robin knock out to determine the 3 divisions – The Cup, The Plate and the Bowl.
“We are thrilled to be the host destination for the SLAM Festival. This emerging event not only showcases the destination but celebrates active living. We encourage teams to get together and register to be part of this fun event” said Damien Massingham, General Manager of Tourism Noosa.
