[Video]The first annual Beach Bash Sunshine Coast is set to hit Coolum Beach on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th July and with over 3,000 adults and children expected to participate.
Adding to the Coast’s wealth outdoor, fun and fitness events, Beach Bash is Australia’s only obstacle race on the beach. A massive crowd expected at this inaugural event which also includes the chance to slide down the world’s largest inflatable water slide – “Slideshow Bob”.
The event will start and finish at Tickle Park, Coolum and will cater for all ages. Junior Beach Bash (4-9 years) will be held on Saturday 19th July from 1:00pm and Beach Bash (10 years and up) will be staged on Sunday 20th July from 7:30am.
Also on Saturday 19th July a special Beach Bash Service Charity Challenge will be staged and will be open to all police, fire and ambulance employees, with all profits from the Charity Challenge going to the Daniel Morcombe Foundation.
According to Beach Bash Founder and Managing Director Ray Armstrong, Beach Bash Sunshine Coast will provide great opportunities for the area.
“With thousands of people set to converge on Coolum, this is a fantastic event for visitors, local businesses and tourism alike. Having staging three previous events in Queensland and New South Wales, we know what impact the event has and we can’t wait to bring it to the Sunshine Coast,” Armstrong stated.
