McKenzie Hall appointed to manage Harvey Norman Maroochydore

Maroochydore Homemaker Centre

National retail services company McKenzie Hall has been appointed to manage Harvey Norman’s new Maroochydore Homemaker Centre on the Sunshine Coast.
The high-profile development is currently under construction on the emerging Maroochy Boulevard commercial precinct in central Maroochydore and is scheduled to open late 2012.
The Maroochydore Homemaker Centre will be anchored by a new flagship Harvey Norman store for the Sunshine Coast along with Domayne, Joyce Mayne and 16 other National Brand retail showrooms totalling in excess of 32,785sq m.
The project will also feature 5,000sq m of premium first floor commercial space, a Good Life gym, 900 undercover parking spaces and lift access.
It is strategically positioned in the heart of the maturing Maroochy Boulevard, the gateway to the Maroochydore CBD from the Sunshine Motorway. This precinct is already home to showpiece auto dealerships for Mercedes Benz, Lexus and Mazda and is the site for the exciting new Emporio mixed-use development.
McKenzie Hall is the only specialist company in Australia focussed solely on provision of retail property services to the bulky goods homemaker centre sector. It offers a full range of services to property owners, including management, marketing, leasing, finance, accounting, consultancy due diligence and investment sales advice.
As the national bulky goods market leader, McKenzie Hall currently has a management portfolio of 20 exciting bulky goods and shopping centre properties across the eastern seaboard. Its Project Leasing team is currently marketing 40 developments from Tasmania to Queensland for a diverse range of private investor and major institutional clients.
McKenzie Hall is led by Executive Directors Tony Draper and Dale McDermid, who have over 25 years’ experience in the retail property sector. Mr Draper is considered the Bulky Goods Industry leasing expert whilst Mr McDermid was previously a Director and Shareholder of Byvan, the largest independent shopping centre manager in the country at the time.
Mr McDermid said: “McKenzie Hall’s appointment to the Maroochydore Homemaker Centre continues the company’s strategic growth in South East Queensland. Other recent appointments in Queensland for McKenzie Hall include six leasing and management appointments.”
“We are delighted to be further expanding our management and leasing portfolio in Queensland with the Maroochydore Homemaker Centre,” Mr McDermid said.
“Maroochydore Homemaker Centre is a unique new development for the Sunshine Coast in a vibrant, fast-growing location and is set to quickly establish itself as the premier retail bulky goods homemaker destination in the region.”
