Unitywater customers now have quick and easy access to information about capital work projects in their area, with the launch of a new tool on the utility’s website.
Project details are available at www.unitywater.com, using the ‘Projects’ drop down menu or the ‘Find infrastructure projects in your area’ button on the right hand side of the home page.
Simply type in your postcode or suburb to see what work is underway in your local area.
The location of infrastructure projects will be flagged, with a pop up information box containing details including a description of the work to the completed, progress stage status, scheduled dates, forecasted budgets and images, where available, for all planned projects over $80,000.
Unitywater Asset Creation Manager, Infrastructure Services Division, Andrew Schoenmaker, said the new search tool would provide customers with immediate information about critical capital works projects being undertaken in their suburb.
“This will allow our customers to learn about the improvements and upgrades underway in their immediate area and the wider region,” Mr Schoenmaker said.
“Unitywater has approximately 670,000 residential customers and we need to ensure they have access to information about the investment we are making in capital works to cater for their community and for future growth.”
Mr Schoenmaker said Unitywater was planning to invest more than $440 million in critical infrastructure throughout the Moreton Bay and Sunshine Coast regions over the next three years.
“This search tool provides relevant information about those projects directly to our customers,” he said.
“It’s an important part of the open and transparent communication program we have in place under our Customer Charter and we certainly welcome any feedback to improve this facility.”
