Five Sunshine Coast Mums who were finalists in the AusMumpreneur Awards earlier this year have now been featured in a new book called Amazing Mumpreneurs featuring a collection of advice from some of Australia’s best and brightest Mums in business.
Yvette Adams, owner of The Creative Collective, an award-winning creative services and training agency & mother of 2 under 7; Rebecca Mudridge, author of award-winning book The Pram Diet and proud mum of two girls under 6; Lara Hodgson, publisher of SunnyCoastKids.com.au a website for families living on and visiting the Sunshine Coast and mother of 2 boys; Vanessa Porters, co-founder of Mammas Markets and mother of five and Kylie Nash, creator ofwww.bubsinarms.com.au which retails hampers for mother and baby and mother of 2 will host the official Sunshine Coast launch of the book with a fun morning tea launch event on Thursday 24 November in Kawana.
The event will also feature Rachael Bermingham of 4 Ingredients TV & book fame, and now the owner of Bermingham Books who has sold over 4 million copies of books who will share her top tips on how to write a book and get published, as well as a range of stalls showcasing services and products relevant to Mumpreneurs.
The local group of Mumpreneurs will share how they started their highly successful businesses, how they manage the juggle of being a parent and business owner and their top tips to success at the event.
The book Amazing Mumpreneurs, published by the Mumpreneur Awards organisers connect2mums.com.au, celebrates and recognises Mums in business achieving outstanding success in areas such as business, product development, services and innovation in businesses from Australia and New Zealand.
Amazing Mumpreneurs will be launched at Kawana Hotel on Nicklin Way, Thursday 24 November 10am – 12:30pm. The event is child-friendly with an indoor and outdoor play area available, however parent supervision is required. Tickets are just $10 which includes morning tea platters, tea & coffee, with $5 per ticket less eventbrite fees going to the Pyjama Foundation, who provide modern-day ‘reading angels’ for Australia’s foster families supporting our most vulnerable children.
