A local family company, GeoDrill Pty Ltd, based in Buderim run by father and son team Steve and Tom Partleton, are completing the geotechnical drilling works required to resurrect the beloved Surf Life Saving Tower located at Mooloolaba Beach.
The tower received a great deal of damage after this summer’s wild and battering weather. In January this year, the foundations were eroded to the extent where the tower had to be moved from the edge of the beach amid fears of total destruction.
Steve and Tom Partleton, owners of GeoDrill Pty Ltd are both Sunshine Coast locals and are more than happy to be able to offer their drilling services to local business. Whilst the company sources work from all around Australia, they said it’s nice to back in their home turf.
Steve stated “We moved from England 17 years ago and we found the Sunshine Coast to be an amazing place to live. Both my kids attended Nippers here in Mooloolaba back in the day. We are happy that we can finally provide a service back to the Mooloolaba community and work with local businesses.”
GeoDrill Pty Ltd, who has rubber tracked all terrain drill rigs ideally suited for the beach, will be drilling and taking soil and rock samples to enable the new design of foundations for the tower.
GeoDrill Pty Ltd is a geotechnical and environmental drilling company based out of the Sunshine Coast, QLD. They offer a wide range of professional drilling services including soil boring and soil sampling, to both private and government agencies.
