Local Coast band Kindread will unleash their funk/reggae grooves on the Sunshine Coast in an all ages release of their two new singles ‘Good Vibes’ and ‘Idealize’ at the Nambour Moonlight Markets, 28 October from 5pm.
For anyone who hasn’t heard of Kindread, Triple J’s Unearthed site says it all…
‘Beware!! There is a funk, rock, reggae revolution sweeping its way across the nation spreading good vibes and leaving in its wake the name KINDREAD on the lips of whoever it comes into contact.’
Moonlight Market Coordinator Helen Langlois said this is a real first for the markets and is bound to draw a strong crowd.
“Last month we had visitors literally dancing in the streets to Phil Emmanuel, this month we have Kindread releasing their new singles—it just doesn’t get much better,” Ms Langlois said.
“This versatile band are leaving nothing to chance, releasing both a funk and a reggae track to give listeners a choice.
“Kindread will be perform an epic, all ages, live, free show featuring The Roshambo’s and Gian Famularo as supporting acts.
“We’ll also have the Nambour Retailers Group supporting the Daniel Morcombe Foundation with a ‘Paint the town red’ promotion.
“They will be selling Badges $4, Pens $2, Wrist Bands $2 as well as t shirts all to raise much needed funds.
“The markets are free and held on the last Friday of the month from 5pm – 9pm and always feature a high calibre and range of stalls.
“Quality food and products from local people who are bursting with knowledge and enthusiasm are also a given and the range of international cuisine will tempt even the fussiest pallet.
“And regular market goers will be pleased to know the alfresco wine bar is back in action and this month it’s even selling speciality beers.”
