Jazz lovers, mark your calendars

Bullhorn, one of the many acts appearing at the 2012 Noosa Jazz Festival

Noosa Jazz Festival, the iconic Queensland music event, which runs from Thursday 30th August – Sunday 2nd September, celebrates all genre of jazz, from traditional to modern funk, blues, indie, alternate pop and progressive music. There will be over 200 performances from Australian and International artists in local restaurants and open-air venues overlooking Noosa’s stunning main beach and river.
Festival organizers have promised the 2012 festival will be even bigger and better than years past, with more artists, more venues and more opportunities for the community to get involved. Popular returning events include Tastings on Hastings, which sees Hastings Street transformed into a pop-up restaurant for 600 guests, who are wined, dined and entertained by a roving stage of musicians and buskers. This will feature alongside many other much-loved festival events, including the Legends Lunches, Sunday Jazz in the Park, daily jazz river cruises, Bicentennial Hall traditional jazz program, large open air concerts and small intimate venue performances.
