More than 200 business people, politicians and media personalities raised $28,375 for a Salvation Army Red Shield Appeal event hosted and produced by Michael Shadforth’s Ray White Commercial North Coast Central office on the Sunshine Coast.
Hosted by federal Member for Fisher, Mal Brough, the breakfast fundraising event was held on Thursday 22nd May 2014 at The Events Centre, Caloundra, with entertainment mogul, Glen Wheatley, as guest speaker.
Mayor Mark Jamieson was just one of the attendees who enjoyed breakfast and listened to Mr Wheatley regale stories from his colourful life history including his time performing with The Masters Apprentices and long term management of John Farnham’s career.
Mr Wheatley also spoke about his resilience during his darker days and how this trait is something shared by those who rely on the services and support from the Salvation Army.
Michael Shadforth, Managing Director of Ray White Commercial North Coast Central, said:  “It just goes to show that Caloundra has a great group of business people and entrepreneurs that are always concerned about the community as a whole”.
