Sunshine Coast Council’s Caloundra Music Festival is offering a new supervised childminding service within the Funky Forest family area.
The childminding area, being run by Ladybirds & Dragonflies Childminding Services, will allow parents to leave their children for a two hour session.
Deputy Mayor and Division 2 Councillor Tim Dwyer said this service has been introduced to complement the Festival’s family-friendly atmosphere.
“We recognise that parents want to bring their children along, however also want the opportunity to enjoy all aspects that the Festival has to offer,” Cr Dwyer said.
“While parents can enjoy the great bands, children will be fully supervised by qualified and professional staff.
“Children will be able to engage in creative activities encompassing music, art and story time and can take their creations home.”
The area caters for children aged 3-years to 12-years and pre-bookings can now be made through the Ladybirds & Dragonflies Childminding Service website, with prices starting from $20 per child.
Discounts will also be available for those who pre-book and loyalty card holders.
The childminding service will operate on Saturday and Sunday of the Festival.
