Sunshine Coast Council’s new Museum Trail helps locals and visitors find some of the best heritage in the region.
Today, Sunshine Coast Councillor Anna Grosskreutz launched the Sunshine Coast Museum Trail together with the help of members of the Sunshine Coast Cultural Heritage Reference Group and local historians.
The Sunshine Coast Museum Trail is an initiative of the Cultural Heritage Levy and encourages people to discover the hidden treasures and little-known facts about the region’s diverse history and heritage.
The Museum Trail highlights the Sunshine Coast’s impressive network of cultural heritage places, sites, and community museums. These information hubs house collections of historical objects, photographs, and stories told by some of the Sunshine Coast’s most knowledge local historians.
Guiding you on this historical journey is the Sunshine Coast Museum Trail brochure. The brochure contains a map, pictures, information and locations of some of the Coast’s most historical highlights.
The museums on the Trail are staffed by volunteers who are not only passionate about recording their locality’s history but also in actively presenting this information to locals and visitors alike.
