Discharge of firearm, Meridian Plains

Police are investigating an incident which occurred at Meridian Plains just before midnight last night.
Initial investigations indicate shots were fired in the vicinity of a vehicle outside a residence on Rainforest Drive.
A 19-year-old male passenger received a gun shot wound and sustained bruising to his leg.
A man is currently assisting police which their inquiries.

Police have charged 55-year-old Meridan Plans man after an incident at Meridan Plains just before midnight last night.
Initial investigations indicate shots were allegedly fired in the vicinity of a vehicle outside a residence on Rainforest Drive.
A 19-year-old male passenger received a gun shot wound and sustained bruising to his leg.
The man has been charged with one count each of an assault occasioning bodily harm whilst armed with a dangerous weapon, unlawful possession of a weapon and dangerous conduct with a weapon.
The man will appear in the Caloundra Magistrates Court on November 1.
If people witness hooning activity they are asked to contact 13 HOON (134 666).
