Competitions – Terms and Conditions

  1. All Competitions are a promotion run by ViewNews.com.au (promoter) and a partner  (partner).
  2. Information on how to enter and the prize forms part of these terms and conditions of entry (“Terms”). Entries not completed in accordance with these Terms are ineligible. Participation in this competition constitutes acceptance of these Terms.
  3. Entry is open to anyone who wishes to enter.  Employees of the Promoter and their immediate families and the employees of the Partners and their immediate families are ineligible to enter.
  4. Entry to the competition is available by providing your answer to the question posed, or filling in a form, or both.
  5. When entering the competitions, entrants may be expected to provide their full name, current email address and postcode details. Email address and full name are always required.
  6.  The winners will be contacted by email. Details of the winner will also be published on the ViewNews.com.au website. All prizes must be claimed within 48 hours and collected within 7 days or they will be re-drawn.
  7. Incomplete entries will be ineligible.
  8. All entries become the property of the Promoter. No responsibility is accepted for late, lost or misdirected entries.
  9. Any costs associated with accessing the ViewNews.com.au website is the entrant’s responsibility and are dependent on the Internet service provider used.
  10. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and reserve the right to disqualify any entrant for tampering with the entry process or for submitting an entry which is not in accordance with these Terms.
  11. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  12. The total prize value is based on the recommended retail value of the Prize as provided by the suppliers and is in Australian Dollars.  The Prize  is not transferable or exchangeable and may not be taken as cash or for any other consideration.
  13. The Promoter is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, technical problems or traffic congestion on the internet or on any web site, or any combination thereof, including but not limited to any injury or damage to an entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participation in or down-loading any materials relating to this competition.
  14. The information that entrants provide will be used by the Promoter for the purpose of conducting the competition and email addresses may be added to our newsletter list. You can opt out at any time.
  15. Prize winners have 48 hours to claim prize and 7 days to collect or prizes will be put back into the prize pool for re-draw.
  16. None of the competitions run on View News are endorsed or sponsored by any social media companies including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google +, You Tube and Linkedin.
