The 24th Annual Australian Commercial Radio Awards (ACRAs) were held last weekend at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre and local hopefuls Ryan Khay and David Huth did the Sunshine Coast proud.
Taking home Best Program Director Provincial – Ryan Khay for Sea FM and Mix FM and Best Achievement in Production Provincial – David Huth for Sea FM and Mix FM, these are the locals that are putting the Sunshine Coast on the radio map.
Rubbing shoulders with the likes of Deryn Hinch, Amanda Keller and Merrick Watts, Ryan Khay and David Huth are still on an ACRA high.
The ACRAs are a celebration of the wealth of talent that drives the Australian Commercial Radio industry. The awards are designed to recognise excellence in all areas of radio broadcasting including news, talk, sport, music and entertainment.
91 9 Sea FM and 92.7 Mix FM on the Sunshine Coast are part of the Southern Cross Austereo network, who as a company took out close to half the awards across Australia.
Rhys Holleran, Southern Cross Austereo CEO said, “We are extremely proud of our on and off air teams throughout our metro and regional markets. The results at this year’s ACRAs are a testament to the tireless dedication and unfaltering passion to deliver the best entertainment solutions in Australian media.”
