Season Restaurant is celebrating spring with a new seasonal menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner, using sensational flavours, mouth-watering ingredients and vibrant colours. Executive chef, Andrew Tomlin has carefully crafted a menu incorporating the local ingredients with vibrant colours and exquisite flavours, for which Season Restaurant is famous.
What better way to start your day than with breakfast at Season Restaurant? If you’re after something light, why not indulge in an unarguably Australian-inspired dish? Granola with freshly selected Eumundi strawberries, lemon myrtle yoghurt and strawberry jelly. If it’s something slightly more hearty you’re after try the corn fritters with avocado salsa, grilled chorizo and roast capsicum; or the hot smoked salmon, char-grilled asparagus, poached eggs, herbed sour cream and toasted cape seed.
Salads and seafood certainly celebrate spring, and are a highlight of the lunch menu. Start with a leek, porcini and fontina tart with heirloom tomato salad; or barbecue Mooloolaba prawns, crab and prosciutto remoulade with toasted ciabatta and prawn oil. A classic nicoise salad – done Season-style stars seared tuna, baby beets, fennel, green beans, roast cherry tomatoes black olives and basil aioli. For main, spoil your self with roast Cone Bay barramundi with tamarind, tomato and lemongrass broth, ginger kaffir lime and jasmine rice. If seafood and salads are not you’re thing, perhaps a beef burger with Season’s spin of avocado, bacon, gruyere cheese, green tomato relish and cos lettuce and chips, is more to your liking, or even a lamb rack with cauliflower puree, merguez sausage, roast dates, asparagus, crumbed haloumi and pistachio dukka might take your fancy.
For dinner enjoy a pizza of Peking duck, spinach, red onion, pumpkin and chipotle barbecue sauce; or for seafood lovers the seafood linguine with chilli, coriander, fennel and lemon olive oil, or for the meat lovers a char-grilled 250g Kilcoy eye fillet with café de Paris mash, Portobello mushrooms, wilted spinach and onion rings.
