Sunshine Coast Airport has spread its wings to fly to the nation’s capital for the first time ever, officially launching its inaugural Alliance Airlines service to Canberra today.
Sunshine Coast Council Mayor Mark Jamieson has welcomed the bipartisan support which has been secured from the State Government and the State Opposition to commit $20 million towards the $68 million Stage 1 expansion of the Sunshine Coast Stadium.
The next thrilling event for the stadium will showcase some of the world’s greatest Monster Trucks including Australia number one – Outback Thunda and USA Legend Bearfoot on Saturday November 21.

Sunshine Coast Hinterland men will soon have a new place to socialise, support each other and contribute to the community with the beginning of construction on the long-awaited Mooloolah Valley Men’s Shed. The new Shed, paid for by a Federal Government grant of $250,000, is being constructed on land behind the existing Mooloolah Valley Community Centre.
