Alexandra Scambler, honoured with Prime Minister’s Vocational Education award

Caloundra Christian College 2011 graduate, Alexandra Scambler, has been honoured with a very prestigious Prime Minister’s Vocational Education award. She was one of only twenty in the country to receive this award.
Over the past two and a half years, Alexandra has come closer to realising her dream of becoming a chef. She worked her way through a school-based apprenticeship, whilst completing a full workload of Senior studies at Caloundra Christian College. During this time, she was fortunate to have had access to a state-of-the-art commercial kitchen which is set up at the College. This complimented her workplace experiences at three prominent restaurants on the Sunshine Coast. The College has had a range of students successfully transitioning into the hospitality industry through the program it offers in Hospitality, but Alexandra has by far achieved the highest recognition possible.
During her time at Caloundra Christian College, Alexandra’s skills were recognised and acknowledged by industry professional associations. This Prime Minister’s award is a further tribute to the dedication and commitment she has shown to her chosen career pathway. The College is proud to have been a part of her success and continue to encourage and support her in achieving her ultimate goals in the hospitality industry.
