Caloundra Music Festival goers will be treated to a serious dancing weekend when Nicky Bomba graces the stage with his three different musical concoctions over the weekend of 7 to 9 October.
A veteran of many festivals, Nicky will be performing with his funk reggae outfit BOMBA, conducting the mighty MELBOURNE SKA ORCHESTRA and ringmaster for NICKY BOMBA & THE CMF ALLSTARS.
Sunshine Coast Council Deputy Mayor and Division 2 Councillor Tim Dwyer said Nicky Bomba is putting together a Festival after-party that will be one to remember.
“People can expect a great collaboration with hand-picked festival guests,” Cr Dwyer said.
Having just returned from a world tour as drummer for John Butler Trio, Nicky said he was looking forward to reconnecting with audiences to ‘raise the vibrations’.
“The final performance for the weekend with the CMF ALLSTARS is a special not-to-be missed event – a magical mystery tour…anything can happen…and normally does,” he said.
As for who will be appearing in the All-Stars, Nicky Bomba is staying tight-lipped.
“This is top secret information,” he said.
”So top secret, in fact, that some Festival guests are not yet aware of their involvement.
“I have a loose kind of game plan but it’s always redirected by the energies at hand. Lots of fun and dancing is compulsory – expect to see Mayor Bob Abbot playing harmonica and whipping up a storm.
“It’s my first time at this Festival and the line up is wicked, so I get that James Brown feeling there’ll be some kinda magic.
“I’m looking forward to the sunshine, music and mixing it up with all sorts of long time friends too.”

The Caloundra Music Festival is delivered by the Sunshine Coast Council.
