Caloundra Chamber gets into the Christmas spirit with big surprises

The trending image on Facebook is a message board that says ‘This Christmas I pledge to shop small, spend local, eat local, enjoy local, and support the local businesses that support me and my community’. The Caloundra Chamber of Commerce couldn’t agree more and so developed a retail promotion to support Chamber members.
Caloundra’s 12 days of Christmas is about offering shoppers something extra when they support local Caloundra businesses. Each day from the 1st of December to the 12th of December one local business will be showcased with a super special offer that will give you a great Christmas present purchase for someone in the family. Shoppers will be in for a big surprise when the special is announced on Facebook at 4pm the day before the deal.
Executive Officer of the Caloundra Chamber of Commerce, Leanne Layfield said that the campaign was a fabulous idea presented to the Chamber by internationally acclaimed business 4 Ingredients.
“When 4 Ingredients approached the Chamber with this idea, the Chamber was more than happy to trail the initiative to drive customers to Caloundra. Retail shopping is getting more and more competitive and if stores here in Caloundra just up the ante by adding some extra special touches, we will keep customers coming into town” said Ms Layfield.
The Caloundra Chamber of Commerce retail members involved in the campaign are Get Biking, Red Hot Chilli Pepper, Chaps Menswear, Joybells, R.M Williams, Sunstate Jewellers, Edwards Cameras, Sportfirst Caloundra and 4 Ingredients.
“There is a very diverse range of specials that will be on offer and if shoppers take advantage of the 12 days they will most likely pick up a present for each family member” said Ms Layfield. Other businesses can jump on board by also promoting themselves on the facebook page.
