Bees, bugs and butterflies

That’s the theme for a range of fun and creative workshops and activities planned for kids and adults a like next Saturday 5 November at the Arts and Ecology Centre, Maroochy Bushland Botanic Gardens.
Native Bee Talk – 10am to 12.30pm
A free family activity presenting our native bees and how to set up a hive in your backyard.
The presentation will be led by Chris Fuller from Kin Kin Native Bees.
Bugs Ed – 10am to noon
Lots of fun for kids of all ages, this free workshop will include bug displays, opportunities to hold live insects and attend a short presentation at 10.15am or 11.15am.
Adult Mixed Media Workshop – 10am to 1pm
A mixed media exploration of Bugs and Butterflies in their Environment this workshop is for people who love using ‘images and words’ together.
This workshop will be led by artist, Heather Gall. Cost $35.00 per person. Visit the What’s on Calendar on council’s website to book.
