Armed robbery – Sippy Downs – Updated

Nambour detectives have arrested a man in relation to a supermarket robbery on University Way, Sippy Downs last night.
Around 9pm a man in the store allegedly approached the checkout with a number of items before producing a syringe and threatening the female operator.
The man fled with an amount of cash.
A 39-year-old man has been charged with one count of armed robbery and will remain in custody until his scheduled appearance in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court tomorrow morning.

Police are investigating after a supermarket on University Way, Sippy Downs was robbed last night.
Around 9pm a man in the store approached the checkout with a number of items before producing a syringe and threatening the female operator.
After obtaining an amount of cash the man then fled the store and was seen getting into a car, believed to be green in colour.
He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, with dark brown hair.  He was wearing a dark coloured t-shirt, light coloured pants and white shoes.
The console operator, a 23-year-old woman, was not physically injured during the robbery.
