Police charged a 24-year-old Cooroy man following investigations into the robbery of a service station in Cooroy on Wednesday night.
It is alleged that a man entered the Elm Street store just before 8pm demanding money and threatened a staff member with a machete.
The man was charged yesterday with armed robbery and stealing.
He will appear in Maroochydore Magistrates Court today.
