Today, the first sod was turned on the facility’s Peregian Springs site, attended by senior Arcare executives and guest speaker, Nick Ryan, CEO, Aged Care Queensland.
The 90-bed facility will generate 75 construction jobs and, on completion, 130 jobs in key sectors such as nursing, hospitality, maintenance and administration.
It will cater for both low-care (hostel) and high-care (nursing home) residents. All rooms will be single with individual en-suite bathrooms as well as warm and inviting communal living and dining rooms.
