Strawbfest is a whole community event that, where possible, relies solely on voluntary participation with all stalls being planned, developed and run in-house by volunteers with all proceeds benefiting all students. And this continuing success would not be possible without the generosity and support of the TWIST Brothers, local Sunny Coast farmers who donate strawberries free at harvest time every year.
Strawbfest today mirrors the multicultural influences in our school community, offering a world of food and a variety of entertainments. There are mechanical rides pitched at all ages, a licensed bar, live music across 3 stages, numerous traditional stalls and abundance of strawberries, with the evening culminating in an impressive fireworks display. And of course there is also the time-honoured favourites including the Strawberry Daiquiris and the all-things strawberry Ice-Cream Stall.
Over the last 26 years, the enduring traditions and values of Strawbfest have produced a consistent winning combination. From humble beginnings Strawbfest has now evolved into a celebration that annually attracts over 5000 people from all over the Coast and Hinterland.
