Celebrate this summer with more than 70 fun and family-friendly festive season community activities and events happening throughout December and January.
The celebrations, from across the region, are listed in council’s Sunshine Coast Festive Season Guide 2012/13, making it easy for residents and visitors to plan which events they want to attend to get them into the festive mood.
Sunshine Coast Mayor Mark Jamieson said the festive season calendar reflected the cultural values, diversity and lifestyle of our coast communities
“The informative guide contains a great range of activities and entertainment, delivered by the community and council for everyone to enjoy,” he said.
“From the popular Christmas tree trail which includes 32 individually designed trees lighting up the region, to details on local community carols, festive events and workshops, the guide really does have something for everyone.
“I invite the community to visit council’s website to obtain their copy of the Guide, and begin planning their personal festive season calendars.
Council will kick off the festive season by progressively flicking on the switches to community Christmas trees across the region as part of the annual Christmas Tree Trail.
The promotion of the Sunshine Coast Festive Season is supported by major partner, The Sunshine Coast Daily, and supporters POMO and The Inkspot Printers.
