The AGL Action Rescue Helicopter is on its fourth flood related task for the day.

This morning the Maroochydore based crew was tasked to search for a woman believed to be missing in flood waters near Pomona. She was found safe and well by searchers on the ground.

The helicopter then went to the aid of a 77 year old man stranded by flood water at his home in Tin Can Bay. The man was suffering serious abdominal pain but a road ambulance was unable to reach him due to roads being flooded in the area. He was taken to Nambour Base Hospital in a stable condition.

The AGL Action Rescue Helicopter crew later returned to Tin Can Bay to rescue a 61 year old man with serious leg and chest pain. He was also stranded by flood waters and unable to get to hospital. The helicopter’s flight doctor and flight paramedic stabilised the man who was airlifted to Nambour Base Hospital.

And the helicopter is currently on its way to Cooran where a man suffering a heart condition is stranded by flood waters and in need of urgent medical attention.
