On Saturday (28 July 2012) the Sunshine Coast Antique Car Club will be holding its annual Swap Meet.
You‘ll never now know just what you are going to find at the Nambour Swap Meet and Classic Car Display at the Nambour Showgrounds this Saturday from 6.00am to 1.00pm. So come along and enjoy it!
This year it has expanded its display area for classic and antique motor vehicles and it’s open to anyone who wishes to display their classic car or bike. So you will not only find an interesting range of marquis which Car Club members own but many other vehicles as well. There is free entry for drivers and display cars.
This is the second largest swap meet in Queensland and there is an enormous range of items to attract people of all ages and interests. While the majority of items for sale are car related there is also a great range of other new products and collectables.
Mr. Lyall Exelby, President of the Car Club, said:
“This is a day that everyone enjoys. There are all type of things to do with cars – an enormous range of car parts, both new and old and suppliers of almost everything you need to restore a car or to get it on the road.
There are items for all the family – antiques, bric-a-brac, old wares, toys, displays, a good range of food, house wares and produce stores as well.
And everyone loves the classic car display. “
The Swap Meet is the Car Club’s major fund raising activity for the year. Proceeds from the Meet will go to help fund a wide range of community activities which the Club engages in during the year, including the Club’s Cross Roads Rally (for intellectually handicapped adults), visits to senior citizens homes, attendance at special events such as Anzac day parades and numerous school fetes and shows.
