Small business is the backbone of our economy and it has long been neglected by Labor State Governments.
That’s the blunt message from Kawana MP Jarrod Bleijie.
Mr Bleijie is hosting a Tourism, Manufacturing and Small Business Forum on November 25 and is urging local small business operators to attend and discuss their concerns.
LNP Shadow Minister for Tourism, Manufacturing and Small Business Jann Stuckey MP will feature as the guest speaker.
“I think it is vitally important to engage our small business community as it has long been neglected by the current State Government,” Mr Bleijie said.
“This is highlighted by the Government’s delay in appointing a Minister for Small Business – it took almost 2 years into this term of Government.
“Red tape, bureaucracy and over-regulation is strangling our small business community.
“Local small business operators are vital to our regional economy and this forum will provide an opportunity for them to have their say.
“Their feedback is crucial and we are hear to listen to their concerns and put forward our initiatives to restore confidence in the small business community right across Queensland.
“Small business, manufacturing and tourism operators are invited to attend and ask questions of the Shadow Minister,” Mr Bleijie said.
