Sunshine Coast singer songwriter Kelsie Rimmer, a star of The Voice, will light up the grand opening of the new Maroochydore Homemaker Centre on Saturday 17th November.
Kelsie will be the headline act on a day of celebrations to mark the official opening of the landmark new retail centre on Maroochy Boulevard.
The local 20 year old rising star has been performing, writing and developing her unique ambient sound ever since she picked up her first guitar when she was 14 years old.
Kelsie has been involved in a number of national singing and song writing competitions, most recently this year’s popular national television singing show The Voice.
She has received great acclaim for her warm, mesmerising stage presence, insightful and poetic songwriting ability and most of all her unique voice, often described as ‘angelic’.
Kelsie has recently released her first self-produced EP ‘Lost In The Woods’ and her first single ‘The Lost Boys’.
She is an all-round talent who writes, records, performs and produces all of her original songs as well as designing and creating all of her own handmade cover art.
A true artist at heart, her music can only be described as beautiful, delicately crafted musical poetry which is always written to tell a story close to her heart.
Kelsie will take to the stage to celebrate the opening of the new Maroochydore Homemaker Centre at 11.30am on Saturday 17th November.
Her performance will be preceded by an official opening ceremony featuring Sunshine Coast Council Mayor Mark Jamieson, Harvey Norman executives and other VIP guests.
The opening day celebrations will commence from 9am and will include street entertainers, balloons, face painting, radio broadcasts, the first installment of the centre’s ongoing ‘Spin & Win’ promotion and a number of great opening specials from retailers.
