The Daniel Morcombe Foundation is proud to announce, the Noosa International Food and Wine Festival organisers have chosen us as their charity of choice for the 2013 festival on May 16, 17, 18, 19.
“The festival directors, headed up by Jim Berardo, have been incredibly kind and sensitive to the Foundation in supporting our involvement this year” said Denise Morcombe. “Along with three prime locations for our volunteers to hand out child safety information, sell merchandise and accept donations, they have organised a number of fundraising initiatives including a special “Dish for Daniel’ and a fabulous holiday for us to raffle. Daniel’s favourite dish was Lasagne and proceeds from the sale of this favourite dish will go to the foundation.
“Keeping Kids Safe through education and supporting young victims of crime are our priorities” said Bruce Morcombe “and this is a fantastic opportunity for the foundation to inform a wide audience of our work and to raise valuable funds to drive these initiatives. We will have the Big Red Truck parked in prime position at the entrance to Lions Park, a Marquee down on the beach, and an outlet in the Festival Village.”
“The Noosa International Food and Wine Festival is Festival is also shaping up to be a memorable occasion for the Foundations volunteers” added Denise “as they get the opportunity to taste some of the finest cuisine in the world, at one of the most beautiful places on earth.”
Noosa’s Food and Wine festival boasts over 200 of the world’s most prominent chefs, winemakers, media and food personalities and around 28,000 visitors to experience the ultimate in food, wine and entertainment.
