Learn how to stop termites eating away at your profit with BSA's FREE Better Building Termite Management Show.
The Queensland Building Services Authority (BSA) will hold a FREE seminar on termite management at Maroochydore on 9 February, Public Works Minister Robert Schwarten said today.
Mr Schwarten said termites were a problem in most parts of Australia with termite infestations causing millions of dollars in damage to timber structures each year.
"The BSA's Termite Management Show will explain the different termite management systems and the relevant Australian Standard, Building Code, management and inspection requirements," Mr Schwarten said.
"Once inside a house, termites can cause significant structural damage within six months," he said.
"Given the seriousness of problems termites can cause, termite management is extremely important for both homeowners and builders."
Mr Schwarten said the seminar would combine a technica l DVD and useful advice from BSA's experts.
"These seminars are part of the Queensland Government's strategies to educate and assist licensees and help build a better Queensland construction industry," he said.
