Maleny Tennis Results
The Lorikeets lost to Kawana by 41 games to 33. Sylvia is back from Africa with her elephant gun so the ‘big bang’ theory is about to be tested in the remaining matches.
Maleny Magics played an away game against the Eumundi Egrets this week and thanks to Jenny O for being a team replacement. The games were certainly hard fought but unfortunately the Magics could not convert on many occasion with a final loss of 43 games to 21. Next week is the last week of the competition for Maleny Magics and they propose to borrow Sylvia’s elephant gun and go out with a bang.

Semi Finals brings out the best tennis in everyone. Witta Hitters played Maroochydore TT’s in a great game. Unfortunately TT’s were the victors.
The NDTA Autumn Fixtures competition concluded this past week with the finals showing tennis of a high standard in all divisions. Coolum and Eumundi were well represented in both Futures and Mixed competitions.
The Maleny Tennis Club scoured the lofts and garages of Maleny to assemble an amazing array of wooden racquets for the inaugural Wooden Racquets Day at the Club last Saturday.

Witta Hitters had a great win over Nambour Heights 5 sets to 3, 34 -33 only one game difference. Tennis was greatly improved from last week’s ghastly cold and windy weather.
