Maleny Swimming Club’s annual carnival is on again, Sunday 14 February. Over 200 nominations from various clubs from as far away as Brisbane have been received, ensuring the day will be full of fierce and exciting competition.

Since the Maleny Pool closed for the winter season in mid April, a group of intrepid Maleny swimmers drive down to Beerwah most days for an early lap swim and are now outnumbering the local Beerwah lap swimmers!

A Week of Swimming Club Championships!
Maleny Swimming Club Championships begin at the pool this Wednesday night, 11th March at 5:30pm (weather permitting) and will finish on Wednesday night, 18th March. Club swimmers will be vying for medals in their age groups for each individual stroke and club age champion.

Maleny Swimming Club members recently achieved outstanding results across several competitive swimming carnivals in the Wide Bay Region. Between the eight swimmers pictured they scooped a combined 27 medals in the month of November. These results are the fruits of some dedicated training efforts and the club is justifiably proud of every one of them.
It has been a year of golden moments for triple Olympic gold medallist Stephanie Rice, and today the winning trend has continued for the Queensland swimming star.
