Last Saturday, Woombye played host to the Sunshine Coast Fire State League teams. In conditions vastly different from the preceding few weeks, this week saw rain, rain and more rain.
This Saturday, 27th Feb, Woombye Soccer Club is taking on the Sunshine Coast Fire in 1st and 2nd Division in what promises to be two very exciting games.
Last Saturday, 13th Feb, Woombye hosted Southside Eagles 1st and 2nd Div teams in pre-season games.
Benefits from the newly announced partnership between McDonald’s Sunshine Coast and Sunshine Coast Football (SCF) are already visible as the two entities join hands to provide a complimentary coaching seminar for SCF clubs across the region.
Last Saturday, 6th February, Woombye played against teams from Nerang as part of their build-up to this year’s soccer season commencing in late March.

With the footy season about to start McDonald’s Sunshine Coast licensees today reminded football fans to sign up with their local Sunshine Coast Football club.
McDonald’s Sunshine Coast restaurants have announced a $300,000 sponsorship deal with Sunshine Coast Football. The three-year deal will benefit more than 6,000 local soccer players at junior and premier league levels.

With two teams eliminated in the first week of semi finals the hopes of the Maleny Rangers Football Club rested with the Under 11 girls and Under 15 girls teams. Both teams contested the Preliminary finals on Saturday.
Maleny Rangers Soccer Club has capped a fantastic season with four teams making it to the semi final stage. Three of the teams were girls which shows were the strength of the club lays.
Coolum Football Club will receive $20,000 to repair damaged drainage and the canteen area under the Sport and Recreation Disaster Assistance Program

Under 15 boys team tied in the match against Caboolture giving them a guarantee in the finals.
The ladies team travelled to Coolum on friday night and put in a very competitive effort against the fifth placed Coolum team. Since taking over as coach Richard Jones has really turned the team around and they now find themselves very competitive in each game.

This weekend saw both the Womens and Under 15 girls teams having a bye. Instead of having the weekend off the girls organised a scratch match for Friday night at the Showgrounds.
