Sunday 7th February Super Challenge
The home match against the strong Musgrave Hill line up was marred by intermittent and heavy rain, and Swan didn’t come out too well in the wash up.
Gold Div Gold men lost by 1 rink to 4, with the pairs team of Max Kitto & Bob Schafer getting home over the closing ends. Alan Newman’s pairs lost by the solitary shot, but there was a bit of a space in the other games. Gold Ladies were competitive, but lost both rinks.
Bronze Div The Mens side also lost 1 rink to 4, with the Gary Flegg Triples team having a convincing win. Ray Teunon lost the singles by a narrow margin for the second week in a row. The Ladies lost on both rinks, with the triples team of Marie Weymouth, Maureen Holland and Sheila Lee losing by just 3 shots in a competitive game.
