As publicity officer for the Range Croquet Club in Maleny I apologise to Vinko Mestrovic for mistakenly assigning him to Nambour in last week’s Lions Tournament.  He is a member at Noosa.  Our highly mobile Carberys, Val and Vince, played in the Caloundra Masters, with Val doing the better, finishing as runner-up.

At the Annual General Meeting the officers elected for the coming year were President : Vince Carbery, Vice-President : Nick Cram, Secretary : Priscilla Vickers, Treasurer : Roz Pagliarino.  Members thank outgoing secretary Kath Smith for her many years of invaluable service.

At home, Michael Hepburn and Roz played a 13 all draw in Association Croquet.  Gail Denver and Val played Sarah Widin and Priscilla, ending at 10 all, and Eva Marie Seeto and Roz defeated Robert Elliot and Neil Lovett 18-7.  Old stagers Neil and Vince partnered comparative newcomers Judith Smyth and Ken Barker in short (14 maximum) Aussie Croquet games, resulting in Vince and Ken 14 – Neil and Judith 9, and Vince and Judith 14 – Neil and Ken 3.  Judith and Ken are coming along very nicely, Judith excelling with a long hoop, and Ken with one of the longest roquets of the day.
For information ring Vince Carbery (5494 2193) or Priscilla Vickers (5494 3555).
