Range Croquet Club Maleny
We expect rainy Maleny to turn on some good falls in summer, but when one of our members living on the coastal plain reports 200 millimetres of rain in two days we know that there won't be much croquet played in the Range Croquet Club's regular club hours. Morning practice has been possible for early risers, including some newcomers. In a singles Association game, Vince Carbery beat Kath Smith 26-13.
After our opening round of Golf Croquet Pennant games was washed out, we are keeping our fingers crossed for our second match at Noosa to be held in fine weather.

Wednesday Ladies Tennis: Last week Sunshine Coast Mid Week Ladies held their AGM so there were no fixtures but a great morning was held by all who attended the AGM where Joan Rogerson and Helen Fletchett were inducted with Life Membership to the Mid Week Ladies for all the work they have provided over the past 20 odd years.
After years of planning and jumping through the funding hoops with the appropriate Council departments, the Witta Recreation Club committee is delighted that they will be starting the new season of touch and rugby with their football fields now newly turfed.
Range Croquet players from Maleny will be playing in Nambour Croquet Club’s September Singles Event this week.
There was no tennis in the Wednesday competition due to the AGM of the Tennis Association at Kawana.
