Last week was a comparatively quiet one after a couple of hectic ones with visits in and Plum Pudding Day. Tuesday, November 16th, was the in-house Plum Pudding Day and the winners with two wins plus 23 were Sandra Kapetanic and Lucy Oldfield. The Runners-up with two wins plus six were Cliff Deans, Tony Turner and Peter Duffy. The Touchers went to Sandra Kapetanic, Lew Cox and Maggie Crowe. That elusive Jackpot of $250 finally went off and was shared by no less than five members who each pocketed $50 when negative six was drawn from the Barrel. Both a Triples and a Pairs Team lost by six shots to win the Jackpot. The lucky losers were Ernie White[ better than a Toucher], Keith McLeod, Lew Cox, Di Drew and Les Bennett. The second $250 Jackpot will be up for grabs this week. Friday's winners with plus 15 were John Kapetanic and Tony Turner whose name keeps appearing with monotonous regularity of late.
Friday evening, two Sponsors' Prize winners were present with Ashleigh Walker[our erstwhile Bar Attendant] taking the Supa IGA Prize of $40 worth of vouchers and Steve Lawrence[just back from holidays] the Beechwood Bakehouse Prize. The two to miss out were Carol Frawley for Live Life Villages now worth $100 this week and Cliff Deans for "Mug of the Week".
This week kicked off with the Men's Monthly Jackpot Pairs Monday if the weather was kind followed by Jackpot Pairs/Triples Tuesday and Social Bowls Friday. Up-coming events to keep in mind include the in-house Live Life Villages sponsored Club Selected Mixed Triples--names please and preferred playing position which we will do our best to accommodate but don't be too disappointed if you have to play in a different position-- and the Christmas Break-up and Presentation Night on Saturday December 4th. The Live Life Villages Mixed Triples are on Tuesday, November 30th.
