As the rains continued, there was little club activity at the Range Croquet Club in Maleny in the way of games, although some maintenance has been necessary.
This weekend will see all three Maleny Redbacks’ Cricket teams participating if finals action.
Another wet week and not a single Bowl delivered. Perhaps if we had been using a covered, artificial surface on the Precinct not a minutes playing time would have been lost.
The Witta Hitters had a good start to the new Autumn Season. We were on the winning side for our match against Maroochydore TT's. Four sets all, 39 games to 36 games.
This has been a frustrating period for mallet sport enthusiasts in the Maleny area, as rain has been heaviest on scheduled club days at the Range Croquet Club.
The big news this week was the naming on Saturday night of our Men's Pennants Team as the 2010 Sports Team of the year. What an honour.
In broad daylight, 9:30am, in front of many witnesses a person/persons drove into and proceeded to cause wilful damage of the Maleny Rangers Soccer grounds at Maleny Showgrounds.

Game times for Friday, 26th February
We expect rainy Maleny to turn on some good falls in summer, but when one of our members living on the coastal plain reports 200 millimetres of rain in two days we know that there won't be much croquet played in the Range Croquet Club's regular club hours.
Last Wednesday 8 members of the Witta Tennis banded together to support the Kawana Tennis Club with their Charity Tennis Day with proceeds going to “Helping Children Smile”.
The Kelshan Transport Maleny Redbacks 5th Division side’s batting form was again impressive on Saturday in a one dayer at Buderim.
For a change we managed to play Bowls Tuesday with minimal disruption from rain. The winners with two wins plus 18 were Helga Falcongreen and John Kapetanic who is certainly on a winning streak at present.
