Join author Edna Bradley for a discussion about her book “A Rock to Remember” at Sunshine Coast Council’s Noosa Library on Friday 26 March at 10am.

Hear about Edna’s experiences back in 1957 when visiting Uluru, then known by non-indigenous people as Ayres Rock, was entering another world from today’s luxury accommodations.

She travelled with the Petticoat Safari, the women sleeping in swags, doing it rough. She stayed and worked as the tourism industry was finding its feet. And there she writes, “I found myself”.

“The silent camp is gradually becoming darker and darker and with the sixty tents all in rows they look like a scene from the Arabian Nights. Sometimes the wind fills them and they billow like fat ladies.”

And so she begins the tale of her adventures that you may share with her and 24 others at the Noosa Library.

Bookings are essential for this event, The cost is $5 and includes refreshments.
