The one and only true blue, John Williamson will help us celebrate Australia Day at Australia Zoo on January 26. Join us for a fair dinkum Aussie smoko with billy tea and damper.
The kids will have a stack of fun with free rides and face painting, plus Aboriginal dance group, the Gubbi Gubbi will perform live in the Crocoseum! You can also get up close and personal to many of Australia's drop dead gorgeous wildlife including koalas, kangaroos and of course our you beaut crocs! And you can win an amazing trip to the Australian outback! Crikey!
There is stacks more action planned with 14 wildlife shows, and more entertainment than you can poke a stick at.
So make sure you come along to Australia Zoo this Australia Day where Crocs and John Williamson RULE!

For 26 years the BWMCA and its affiliated community groups have organised one of the biggest Australia Day celebrations on the Sunshine Coast. 27 groups will be participating in 2010 mounting a dazzling day of celebration including Lions traditional Bush Breakfast, the huge Rotary float parade, the Australia Day Cricket match and displays and demonstrations from 24 other groups including Guides, Scouts, QCWA, Fusion International, local schools and a wide spectrum of clubs. The Day will start at 7am and continue until the close of happy Hour around 5.30pm. Venue will be the Buderim State School Oval and the Main Street of Buderim.

AUSTRALIA DAY CELEBRATIONS - 2010 NOOSAVILLE LIONS PARK
Tuesday 26 January AUSTRALIA DAY at the Lions Park on Gympie Terrace, Noosaville. Park ablaze with colour and marquees, food vans, music and entertainment, local stalls, plus the friendly face of Lions and Rotary clubs.
BIG ROTARY CLUB BREAKFAST of bacon, eggs, tomato, sausages, a choice of orange juice, tea or coffee from 7.00am until around 11 am., under the marquee.
Sunshine Coast Regional Council CITIZENSHIP CEREMONY: 9am to 11 am. Come and celebrate the day as 200 new citizens join us in celebrating Australia Day. There will be an Indigenous Dance group, bush dance group and the Noosa Choral Society, plus the Pipe Band which will have you dancing and singing. An early morning Flotilla of boats will visit the park area, and the Noosa Yacht and Rowing Club juniors will contest some races on the beautiful Noosa River. Lions/Rotary Club’s Local Legend of Noosa Awards program commences at 11 am, so join the nominees and entertainment- meet this years Local Legends.
Visit the LIONS CLUB food vans in the park for burgers, sausages, salads, chips, cold drinks, and snacks from 11:00 am to 4 pm. Entertainment and music in the afternoon. Come and enjoy the Park and River events, listen to music, take part in the boats, swimming, face painting , children’s events, and busking entertainment. Visit the local stalls, sit around, tell Aussie stories, enjoy the swings, (wheelchair swing available), jumping castle, merry go round and have a swim.
Celebrate all that is good about your Australian community on the Sunshine Coast. Bring your family and friends, plenty of sun screen, an Aussie flag or two and a chair or rug- see you there.
