Break and enter, Robery, Car theft and Arson Charges

Break and enter charges, Coolum: Two boys, aged 14 and 15, were charged after they allegedly broke into a business in Elizabeth Street on February 18 around 3.30am. The boys allegedly stole several bottles of spirits. They will be dealt with under the provisions of the Juvenile Justice Act.

Car theft and arson charges, Maroochydore: Three youth, aged 15, 17 and 20, were charged after they allegedly set a car on fire in Mungar Street around 5.50am yesterday. It will be alleged the 17-year-old man stole the car earlier from a shopping centre car park. The 15-year-old boy will be dealt with under the provisions of the Juvenile Justice Act. The other two Maroochydore men were charged with arson – motor vehicle. The17-year-old man was also charged with unlawful use of motor vehicle. Both men are due to appear in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court on March 18.

Armed robbery, Little Mountain: A 22-year-old man was charged following the armed robbery of a convenience store at Parklands Boulevard on February 16. It is alleged two men entered the shop around 7.40pm and threatened the staff member with a knife and a piece of timber demanding money. The employee complied and the men left the shop with a sum of money. The Toogoolawah man was charged with robbery whilst armed in company. He is due to appear in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court today. Police investigations continue in relations to the second man.
