Local travel gurus, Ucango Travel and Cruise Centre, have been awarded the Gold Choice Award at the Travellers Choice Annual Conference in Melbourne over the weekend.

Competing with entrants from all over Australia, Ucango is the first Queensland agency to be bestowed the honour, and was also named as one of five finalists in the ‘Brian Pateman Award for Excellence’.

Commenting on their win, owner Dave Hulsman said “It is a huge honour for Ucango Travel to reach these standards in just three years of operation and to win in a field of such elite competitors,”

“Last year we were awarded Bronze, and in winning Gold this year we are just thrilled with the effort despite the difficult trading conditions of the past 18 months or so.”

The awards evening is the highlight of the conference, providing much deserved recognition for the best in the business, and offering a generous prize for the winners.
